Who we are...
Welcome to Carolina Chronicles Magazine! We publish six times per year, and distribute via the website you are at now. You can download each issue as a PDF when it's posted above. In Carolina Chronicles Magazine, we tell the stories that tell the Carolinas story. North and South Carolina have been the scene of some of the most pivotal moments in American history, and we will try to bring those tales to you in all of their drama, suspense, and accuracy. We try to tell stories that are historically accurate, but also entertaining. So enjoy what you find here! Publisher Jack E. Fryar, Jr. is the author or editor of more than twenty books of North Carolina history. He holds masters degrees in both History and Teaching from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, and teaches history at E.A. Laney High School in Wilmington, N.C. Jack is a frequent lecturer at historic and civic organizations in the Carolinas.
